Where can I find a great deal on a cruise for 3 people.?
I mean CHEAP!!! Under $200 per person! TO the Bahamas for 3 days…
Ok. Western Caribbean cruises tend to be the cheapest. Carnival is going to be the least expensive line, it is also not one of the best lines. So a Wester Caribbean with Carnival will probably offer you the lowest rates.
I would avoid all online discounters. Unless you know a lot about cruising. If you use them you are pretty much on your own, if you are missing paperwork or documents, they can refuse you boarding. You may also find out that something went wrong when you reserved the trip and you didn't get what you wanted, etc. There can be a lot of problems with the online discounters, and usually the cruise lines won't work with you if you use sites like Expedia. The best thing to do is to find a travel agent that specializes in cruises. They usually offer special rates for cruises, or some sort of perk. And be sure to book your vacation as far out as possible. The closer you are to the date the ship sells, the higher the price of the cruise will be.
The only other way is to book last minute. But then you are not guarenteed to get on a ship. You need to be really flexible with your dates as well. Finally, the air will be really expensive you are travelling within a short period of time of purchasing them, if they are even available.
But $200 is really, really low. I have never seen cruises for less than $500, and that is a really low priced cruise. You have to remember that there are taxes and port fees for the cruise lines, I think that most cruises will have more fees like this than what you are looking to spend per person. But it is always worth looking into. If you are really flexible with dates, destination, port, line, boat, etc. You may be able to get if for that price.
Hope this helps!
