I'm trying to decide what one to go on.
Carnival appears to be for the younger generation, like myself, who likes to party, have fun, and drink.
Royal Caribbean seems to be for the older folk who is more calm and serene.
They both have the same excursions except for some are less expensive than the other company.
What one do you think is the better choice?
i've traveled on both and i prefer carnival. i thought the crew on the royal caribbean ship were incredibly rude and not what i was used to when sailing.

well i went on royal caribbean and have to say it was awesome, there's many activities to do. The crew were very very friendly and helpful and made sure everyone was satisfied. there was not 1 rude crew member on there when i went. its not just for older folk, it attracts all ages. they had clubs, kareoke, game shows to participate in, captain's cocktail party (formal attire), comedy show, rock climing, several bars, casino, lounges and much more. all u have to do is take advantage of the activities to have a good time. I had a blast, i was 19 when i went, now im 21, so it was a great experience and i really want to go back on a royal caribbean cruise. so i highly recommend this cruise, u guarenteed to have a great memorable time. the one i went on was monarch of the seas, whcih was in los angeles but now they moved that one to florida in oct 08 : ( i havent been on carnival cruise, i just heard from word of mouth that royal caribbean was better, but now im hearing mixed reviews
