The Disney cruise was the best cruise I have ever been on. There is lots of things to do like amazing shows, tons of great food at all hours...spa,clubs,and games. There are a lot of opportunities to meet new people. The quite cove is a great romantic get away with a bar, pool, hot tub and scheduled live entertainment. There are many options for the kids like age appropriate clubs, games, and entertainment. Cast away cay is beautiful with family beaches, excursions and adult areas. Me and my husband spent the day riding bikes through a tropical oasis, and floating in the caribean. I would recommend this cruise to anyone. If you get an opportunity to go you will have lots of fun.
References :
We went on a Disney Cruise last year with our 3 children, and it really was the BEST vacation we have been on! The staff went beyond the call of duty to serve everyone and please us all! They call the children by their 1st names and pay so much attention to them! As far as activities, oh my goodness- there are far to many to even mention! But I will tell you our favorites- the sail away party on deck is a blast! Lots of characters come out, there is music, dancing, confetti flying everywhere. There are sleepover parties with characters as well as breakfasts with them. On one morning, ALL the princesses come out and you can get your photos with each of them! The kids clubs have TONS of stuff to do and change activities just about every 1/2 hour to hour. The activities range from playing croquet with Alice in Wonderland, to baking cookies, making flubber, all sorts of games, crafts, etc.. There is a HUGE play area in each kids club- lots of costumes for the kids to wear, etc... My little ones actually cried everytime we had to come and get them! On the island, there are all sorts of water activities, bike rentals, and more organized kids activities. Definitely go on Disneycruise.com and they will send you a free DVD. Have fun!
References :
We had our first cruise January 2007 on the Disney Magic for our honeymoon, and we had the most wonderful time. The staff was perfect and caring. Any problems were handled immediately and with a smile. The food was wonderful. We loved Castaway Cay. It was so nice that we decided to take our kids on the Disney Wonder in May of 2007.

This time it was not so wonderful. Our deluxe cabin bathroom was not working properly. I told the kids, no problem. They fix things with a smile. They sent a plumber. It was not fixed. They sent him again. He could not fix it. He was not happy about coming a 3rd time. I asked to be moved to another cabin with a good bathroom. A lady with a different uniform than the room steward was summoned to hear the problem. She had self- importance written all over her face. I was a bit surprised. That's not the face I was looking for. She did what I think was a self-introduction, but I could not hear her well. I still don't know who she was. She said we will move you but the room will probably be an inside room. A downgrade. I asked why. She said she knew she had some room availability but she did not know what. I told her I did prefer a cabin with a window. That's what we paid for. I wanted the kids to be able to see the ocean. I asked if there would be any compensation if we were given a downgraded room. She said it's entirely up to guest services if they want to find you the same type of room you have now. It was not the answer that I was looking for. The smile was definitely missing and the Disney Wonder was definitely a different kind of ship than the Disney Magic. I was getting a little bit upset at this point. I told her I did not like that answer and I expected the same kind of room that I paid for. She did not seem to care. She left. Never did see a smile. After a long time, She did move us to a room with a window. It was the second worst room on the ship. Directly over the comedy lounge where we could hear the stomping and the show till the wee hours. Not much sleep for us on that cruise. I gave up and said to my kids lets just get through this and we won't visit this ship again. We all believe she did that on purpose. She was so arrogant.

The guest services person who gave me the key to the new room printed our names over some previous names on the card. This was a sloppy touch. How much could it have hurt to make new cards? He was indifferent. My daughter wanted to keep her card. She didn't. The second nightmare came at dinner. The drink server lost his smile when we told him we did not drink alcohol. He ignored us the rest of the evening and concentrated on the people who ordered alcohol. He left our soda's on the station where he was working until the ice was pretty much water. We asked him again for the sodas and he actually brought us those watered down ones. Our female server changed them. The next night was the same. I must say here that our female server was wonderful. She engaged the kids in conversation and she was genuinely interested. She did a great job. We made a special trip the morning we left the ship to give her an extra tip. We did not go to the dining room the third night because we had had enough of the drink server. We went to the buffet instead. At the shipboard party on deck, they were serving wonderful desserts. My son and I went and were excited about sampling them. I wanted to just use a napkin for a chocolate cake like pastry, but the server insisted that I had to take a plate and fork. I told him I preferred a napkin and he looked a bit irritated. Hard day maybe, but I am old enough to chose between a napkin and a plate. Castaway Cay was real nice as before. The kids loved it. It was the highlight of this cruise. I recommend the Disney Magic. The shows were so nice. The actors played their hearts out. The staff actually enjoyed the guests. It was much more organized.
