I want to take my 7 and 11 year old boys on a disney cruise. My husband and I have been on many druises but thought the disney cruise would have alot of stuff to do for kids. I want to take some friends with us that have children the same age. My question is simply is a disney cruise worth it and do they have stuff for the kids to do on the ship while the adults are doing adult stuff?

Yes, do it! The children will have a wonderful time and be kept very, very busy and entertained, and the adults will have plenty of opportunity for adult-only activities. (The only "adult" sort of thing you will not find on Disney is a casino — Disney does not have casinos.) It is well worth it!

Cruising with kids is a great idea – and you don’t have to go on a Disney cruise to do it. MANY other cruise lines (Royal Caribbean, Princess, Carnival) also have great programs for kids.
I took my son on two cruises when he was 8 and 9 years old. It was a perfect vacation, especially for a single mom, because we did some things together, and at other times he would go off to the supervised kids’ activities and I was able to relax and do things on my own.

Yes, it’s a great idea. And you need not go on Disney. All major cruise lines have good programs for the kids. And many are far less expensive than Disney.

Cruising is one of the best values out there for families, and it’s a great vacation. Go for it.
