I am going to be in southwest florida for 2 weeks with the family in july. My parents live there and said they would watch the kids for a few day. I was wondering if you can get on a cruise for really cheap if you wait till the day before or day of sail?

NO!!! Cruise lines no longer have those last minute deals where you can show up at the pier the day of a cruise to get a cabin. The rules and regulations changed after September 11, 2001 and now all passengers must complete a pre-sailing registration form on line or by regular mail at least 3 days before the cruise. Or, if you are booked and fail to provide the information they will delay your boarding at the pier while its completed. In addition, since 9/11 the cruise lines must now provide the Dept of Homeland Security a complete passenger list at least 60 minutes before the ship sails and the cruise lines require that all passengers be on board/ or at the pier at least 90 minutes before the cruise. So the cruise lines do not provide for walk-up passengers any more.

In addition, all cruises generally sell out, even in these harsh economic times, so on sailing date there are usually no cabins to be had. And you do know that all cabins are sold based on two people going. SO the prices you see will be for each person but two people (double occupancy) per cabin. So if you want to plan now to cruise in July you will also need a roommate.

What do you know about a 3night cruise with disney?
