Hello,
I’ve always had my friend just get a discount since she had a friend that worked with Royal Caribbean, but that friend has gone. I’ve read stories that people get cruises last minute for a half or almost a third of what people on the cruise are paying for, where could I search for deals like that? Also, is there anything else I could use to refine my search or perhaps look at a different place to find cheap cruises. I’m only looking for 3-4 days and 2 people only.

Thank you in advance =]
is there a better site then www.cruisedirect.com

Just go for a cruise in September if you want to save money. You can pay $129pp for a 3-night cruise on the Norwegian Sky on 9/17 out of Miami. Thats $43 per day, pretty good. There is also a 4-night cruise on the same ship on 9/20 for $139pp. There are many other great deals to be had off-peak. Check out http://vacationstogo.com/index.cfm They also have a toll-free number. Last week I saved someone $500 by them using vacationstogo.

Hope I helped!

What would be cheaper? 2 people on an inclusive "last minute deal" cruise, or an all inclusive resort?

    Those stories are urban myth.

Cruises will sell out about a month prior to departure if not more. Smart cruisers book their cruise a year or more in advance to get the cabin they want with all the early saver discounts. Waiting til the last minute, I mean 90 days out, drastically reduce your choice of cabin.

Not sure what line you are looking for but I book last minute cruises on Carnival all the time.
We are Tampa based and sell late inventory for FL residents all the time.
Let me know if I can help. Might not be 1/2 price but some deals do exist.
    Thanks.
