Doesn't sound too appealing. Crew quarters are cramped(2-4 crewmembers to a cabin)....crew members are reprimanded for fraternizing with guests(unless your job is guest related)....7 day work weeks with an average of 10 hours per day. I guess if you are a workaholic, and don't mind the long hours, it might be for you. Also crew members aren't allowed in the public areas of the ship except those who have guest related jobs. When you ARE off you have to spend your time in the crew bar or crew recreation area. It's not nearly as lavish as the guest areas. I personally will just enjoy being a guest. :) ***To the person below me---My statement said 2-4 crew members per crew cabin. Her plus another person is 2! It all depends on which ship you are assigned to. She went to the gym because she has a guest related job on the boat! My facts I read directly off of the cruiseline website. I also read a blog from someone who worked for over 5 years aboard several cruiselines. He stated that it wasn't as "fun" and glitzy vacation-like as people think it might be.
